The Islanders and defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky have agreed to terms on a two-year extension, the team announced Friday evening.

The deal is worth $9.5M, a source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com.

Rangers Agree To Terms With Conor Allen

Rangers President and GM Glen Sather announced today that the club has agreed to terms with free agent defenseman Conor Allen.

Allen, 23, registered five goals and 14 assists for 19 points, along with 53 penalty minutes in 33 games with UMass-Amherst of Hockey East this season. He established career-highs in assists, points and penalty minutes. Allen led all team defensemen in assists and points, and tied for third among blueliners in goals. 

The 6-1, 210-pounder has skated in 99 career collegiate contests over three seasons with UMass-Amherst, registering 14 goals and 25 assists for 39 points.

Rangers Agree To Terms With Mats Zuccarello

Rangers President and GM Glen Sather announced today that the club has agreed to terms with free agent forward Mats Zuccarello.

Zuccarello, 25, registered 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points, along with 30 penalty minutes in 44 games with Magnitogorsk Metallurg of the KHL this season. He tied for fifth on Metallurg in goals, and ranked sixth on the team in points and assists. 

The Oslo, Norway native returns to the Rangers where he has registered eight goals and 18 assists for 26 points, along with 10 penalty minutes in 52 career regular season contests from 2010-11 to 2011-12, after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent on May 26, 2010. 

Prior to signing with the Rangers, Zuccarello skated in two seasons with MODO of the Swedish Elite League.

Left winger Alexander Semin has agreed to a five-year contract extension with the Hurricanes that will pay him $7M per season and keep him with the team through 2017-18, according to an ESPN.com report on Monday.

The Lightning removed a potentially trade deadline target Saturday when they agreed to terms with center Nate Thompson on a four-year contract extension.

A source told ESPN.com the deal was worth $1.6M on average per season for a total of $6.4M.

The Ducks agreed to an eight-year contract extension with right wing Corey Perry on Monday, keeping the former NHL MVP with the club through the 2020-21 season.

Rangers Agree To Terms With Josh Nicholls

Rangers President and GM Glen Sather announced today that the club has agreed to terms with free agent forward Josh Nicholls.

Nicholls, 20, has registered 41 goals and 32 assists for 73 points, along with 41 penalty minutes and a plus-19 rating in 65 games with the Saskatoon Blades of the WHL this season. He is tied for fifth in the WHL with a career-high in goals, is tied for fourth in the league in shorthanded goals (four) and 18th in points.

Nicholls was named WHL Player of the Week for the week ending December 16, tallying three goals and five assists in four games over the span.

He was originally selected by the Maple Leafs as a seventh round choice, 182nd overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
